IBASC Engineering Management

International Business Administration Services Corporation (“IBASC”) has been active in Engineering Management for over 25 years and has successfully consulted large companies. It started with the systematic analysis of complex Engineering processes and researching the effectiveness of automating these with CAE systems, engineering databases and communication tools. Our approach with uniquely designed dashboards to specifically measure productivity followed by customized advice has lead to guidance that has eventually brought tremendous savings that otherwise would not have been accomplished.

IBASC especially consults to effectively develop:

  • petro-chemical process plants,
  • complex consumer products, and
  • capital intensive series products

that require design organizations and systems, from R&D and Engineering to Construction and Production. These processes require groups of engineers to conclude the design. Nowadays these groups are dispersed around the globe.

Mission

IBASC has built long-standing relations with repeat clients in the US and Europe, working together on improving Engineering performance. Our goal is to continue to build on the strength of the relationships and on step-by-step improvements. It often starts with a trial or a pilot, followed by a subsequent cooperation to set out a path of improvement.

This long-term approach and our connection with leading polytechnic universities and researchers has been the key of our know-how.

Dashboards

In the 1990s this analysis found its ways to IBASC’s design management dashboards to provide the management better insight and improve decision making. IBASC created the dashboards to coincide with planning and scheduling systems. They provide:

  • picking up early warnings and
  • guidance and address the path corrections.

This experience in large organizations in the US, Europe and Asia and experience with dispersed Engineering, provided IBASC unique insights in the systematic fine-tuning of the design-processes and use of tools during project executions.

The fine-tuning recognizes that not all projects have equal goals, varying from

  • requiring efficiency,
  • or a short-lead-time,
  • or an extreme focus on quality,
  • and/or and increasingly on innovation.

To further guide the fine-tuning IBASC has in the last years developed a simulation approach that guides design organizations to simulate projects, create early-warnings and guide project management and overall management to perform the processes in more effective ways and thus contribute to guarantees to good performance. The simulation is based on the most recent innovative statistical techniques.
